These words of inspiration come from my personal journey to the land of home business ownership
Let me take a moment to offer up these words of inspiration for all my readers. If you made it this far I assume that you're now ready to take your first baby-steps along the journey to the land of business ownership.Consider this page to be your "lighthouse" as you navigate these unchartered waters. Whenever you feel lost or overwhelmed, look to it, and you'll regain your bearing.
First words of inspirationIt is not enough to take steps which may some day lead to a goal; each step must be itself a goal and a step likewise."- Johann Wolfgang von Goethe As you get ready to start this journey be mentally prepared to stumble and fall many times. Don't let the desired final outcome (a successful home-based businesss) overwhelm you when this happens. Remember these words of inspiration, "the only way to eat an elephant is one bite at a time". As I recall my own journey I can tell you that there was so much information and so many options at my disposal that it was staggering and sometimes paralyzing. However, I remembered the words of one author whose book I was studying at the time which read, "aim for one target and one target only". When I set my aim on that one target I was then able to map out the steps to hit that target. That target was one of many that made up the big picture I had envisioned for my home business. Before I entered the online world I spent many weeks creating rough drafts of what I wanted to look like to the world. After all, you only get one chance to make a good impression. Each of these drafts was a baby-step, each baby-step brought me closer to the next step, and eventually I found myself standing exactly where I had envisioned. Take this time to put pencil to paper and outline these "baby-steps" which will lead you to your desired final outcome. "It is not enough to take steps which may some day lead to a goal; each step must be itself a goal and a step likewise." - Johann Wolfgang von Goethe
Once you've decided to dissect your final destination into many "baby-steps" and determined which of these baby steps would start your journey you'll have to figure out what supplies you'll need to take with you on your journey.Next words of inspiration"There are no classes in life for beginners: right away you are always asked to deal with what is most difficult." - Rainer Maria Rilke Several summers ago I realized that some of the wood panels of the rear deck of our home had become a safety hazard for my family. I could no longer put this off lest I risk bringing about a bigger problem which could not be ignored. What caused me to procrastinate initially was my lack of skills in the area of home repairs. Having been disappointed in my past when dealing with so-called home repair professionals I held off on hiring one to make these repairs. But now, I had to address it, especially since my wife was making it her mission to never let me breathe easily until I fixed it. Getting this job done landed squarely on my shoulders. So I did what most men do at times like this...I went surfing on the internet! Lo and behold there was a treasure chest of great videos and well written guides for me to view and print. After several hours of surfing and printing I assembled what I thought was a great reference to help me get the job done and have me looking like a champ...especially to my wife. The next day I gathered my three sons and off we went to our local hardware store and presented my list to the knowledgeable clerk. She skillfully guided me through the process of choosing and purchasing every necessary item. With her input I was able to make a couple of key revisions to my initial plan. In less then an hour I was on my way home. That evening my sons and I stood on that refurbished deck and basked in the words of inspiration from my adoring wife, "see honey, didn't I tell you that you could do it if you simply put your mind to it?". My dear reader, preparation is the key to this journey you're about to embark on. This site is an assembly of some great tools to assist you along the way. There are books from Amazon, ebooks from Clickbank, articles on other pages of this site as well as software for you to download. Take a moment to inventory which supplies you'll need to assemble to help you take those first crucial steps. "Life is like a library owned by the author. In it are a few books which he wrote himself, but most of them were written for him." - Harry Emerson Fosdick
Regardless of how far along you are on this journey you've come to realize that you will be constantly dealing with setbacks. As a result you'll be tempted to either, "take a breather", or perhaps throw in the proverbial towel. This temptation will be very strong at times. Beware! Remember also these words of inspiration.Great words of inspiration"LORD, you have assigned me my portion and my cup; you have made my lot secure. The boundary lines have fallen for me in pleasant places; surely I have a delightful inheritance. I will praise the LORD, who counsels me; even at night my heart instructs me. I have set the LORD always before me. Because he is at my right hand, I will not be shaken." -Psalm 16:5-8 I am not ashamed to admit to you that the site you are now viewing was almost aborted at one time. I considered doing this even though I had labored painfully to write and develop over 200 pages by that time. I had seen it go through many ups and downs with the search engines and had grown very disillusioned with the possibility of ever owning something significant, something to leave my children. Of all the possibilities out there for a home business I chose to build an internet based business. I had never done anything of this sort and and there was very little that I knew or understood. Yet, it caught my attention and I found it the most intriguing. If I was going to invest my time then it might as well be interesting. After reconsidering shutting down this site I soon discovered that it had turned into a labor of love. I soon reached a point where I totally believed that my labor would indeed eventually bring forth what I was hoping for. It didn't matter what others thought. As long as I believed, things would be OK. This wasn't a blind faith. After all, I had done my due diligence and had assembled the tools necessary to carry me through. I was willing to work at it until one of two things happened; I succeeded or I died trying. There was no other option for me. The financial security of my wife and kids were at stake. I determined that I would place before me only those things and persons that would enable me to succeed. No negative thoughts would be harbored, and no negative or destructive words would be spoken. I burned all my bridges...there would be no retreat. "Life is like a game of cards. The hand that is dealt you represents determinism; the way you play it is free will." - Jawaharal Nehru
Few of us are able to handle success correctly. Just take a look at Hollywood and it's members. Not all of them acquired success in the same manner. One thing is certain, however, they have all been changed by their success. Some were changed for the better, but unfortunately, most were not. Most could have used "pure" words of inspiration. Are you prepared for lies ahead? If you've laid the right foundation and never cease to believe and strive you will surely acquire success. Final words of inspirationSuccess is sweet: the sweeter if long delayed and attained through manifold struggles and defeats. - A. Branson Alcott Each day I wake up with the realization that I am not yet who I was designed to be. I have not yet changed my world for the better in a fashion that is everlasting. I ask for forgiveness because I know that by doing so I will remember to forgive myself. As I forgive myself I am then prepared to forgive others. My family now sees me as I truly am. And yet, they do not see me as I wish to be seen. I choose to see myself through the window of the future. Because there, I am smarter, kinder, more patient, stronger, fearless and completely refined by the trials that God has placed in my life. I choose to always speak words of inspiration to my family. As I go about the work of building websites for the world to experience, it is my hope that I make a difference in the lives of each person who comes across them. I pray that the words I write on each page are words of inspiration to each reader. Do you desire to build a home business for the right reasons? Are your motivations pure? Are they worthwhile? Your life on earth is relatively short. How will you leave? What will be your legacy? Are you prepared to speak or write words of inspiration for the benefit of those in your circle of influence? These websites are part of my legacy. They are only a small part however. And yet, however small they are, I wish them to be powerful vehicles for change. I hope that somehow this site has impacted your life. I hope it has inspired you to go out and change your world. I hope the words on this page have been received as words of inspiration. I have no clue what you believe in, or if you believe in anything. I will boldly make this statement to you now...when my time is up, I hope to hear these words from God himself, "well done good and faithful servant". Well, what are you waiting for? It's time to change your world.
