You have probably heard it time and time again "the money is in the list". Well this is not always the case as you may have discovered. Despite all the email marketing tips and tricks you have tried to implement the people in your list just aren't converting into sales. Well my friend I am about to reveal to you the best small business email marketing tips that most won't tell you because they would rather your subscribers give you the boot and come sign up for their own list. But it doesn't have to end like that. Read on...

There are three best small business email marketing tips we are going to discuss and the first is by far the most important and if you mess this one up you might as well hang up your hat and call it a night. You need to connect with your niche. For example tell them about something that might have happened to you or a problem that you encountered and how you dealt with it. Juice it up and explain how you were almost at your wits end and then you discovered the solution to your problem.

I recommend giving them your story right away in the first two emails to hook them and keep them craving for more. Don't even try to sell in the first two emails. You should be worried about grabbing their attention and creating a connection. An outline for creating suspense could be...

Day 1: Start telling them about your problem and how it was really bumming you out or bringing you down and you felt helpless. But, then you decided to take a stand and solve this dilemma once and for all... Reader: (what is he/she going to do)

Day 2: Tell them of your struggles and what you did to try and rectify the situation or problem and how it was a battle and nothing was working out and then the solution... Reader:(oh! what is it? what is it?)

Day 3: Tell them about how you finally discovered the answer to your problem after much trial and error and this is when you can start to push or recommend your product. Reader:(I have got to check that out!)

Another important thing to remember and second in our list of the best small business email marketing tips is to give them the specifics about your product or service. When you do finally start to promote it tell them how wonderful it really is and give them details like the price. If it is relatively cheap mention how you couldn't believe the value or if it is a little pricey you might want to say how it is definitely worth the money.

The last tip to effectively get your prospect to click and hopefully convert into a sale is to create a sense of urgency about the product. Perhaps it is a limited engagement or only a few are left. Often times there might be a sale that might be ending soon. Another tactic of small business email marketing is to convince them that they just simply cannot live another second without this product. Whatever it is find a way to create a sense of urgency.

Remember, half or more of all the emails that get sent out from your auto-responder probably never even get read and that is why I have provided you with what I believe to be the best email marketing tips. They will ensure that the people who are reading your emails like what they are reading and find it at least mildly entertaining. Creating suspense will go along way if your goal is to hook your list into actually looking forward to reading your emails.
