Robert Kiyosaki's 'Rich Dad, Poor Dad' Review - Start Your Own Business

Most of us have heard of the book 'Rich Dad, Poor Dad'. This book is probably one of his best known works. Most people that have read this book, decide to take control of their finances, get out of debt and become successful in business. I recently read the book myself and decided to write a review. I asked myself the question: 'Why is it, that Robert Kiyosaki is changing the lives of so many people and why is his book proven to be of so much help?'

Financial Literacy is important

Robert Kiyosaki describes in his book 'Rich Dad, Poor Dad', how he grew up having two fathers and the advice he received from them. One being very wealthy, his 'Rich Dad' who was an uneducated but very wealthy entrepreneur. The other being the 'Poor Dad', his actual father, who was a middle class person, earning an average income, stressed out about getting an education and finding a 9-5 traditional job in order to earn an average middle class income. It was his 'Rich Dad' who showed Robert how to wisely invest money, how to think 'outside the box' and how to avoid being suckered in to a 9-5 job, working for someone else, only to make a boss rich. The emphasis in the Robert Kiyosaki book is all about the value of a proper financial education and the different approaches to money. It also emphasises on the life and work that he was taught by his two different fathers and how this had an influence in his day to day life.

Robert Kiyosaki explains in his book why the teachings of Financial Literacy is so important. The current education system does not provide this sufficiently to students. As Robert explains, an in depth knowledge of Financial Literacy is vital in today's world of business and finance. As I was reading the book, it became clear to me that he (Robert) is so right.

Owning Your Own Business - Also important

Robert Kiyosaki also describes in his book that owning your own business is one of the only feasible and truly effective strategies to reach financial freedom and security. Whenever there is an economic recession, it is the home based business industry that is thriving. All those people that have lost their jobs because of the recession are now looking at opportunities to start their own business, working from home and securing their financial future. Robert explains that, with the recession, the change of job markets and the economy, people need to stay on top of things, keep up with the pace and change their way of thinking when it comes to the approach of finances and business. We are now moving in to the information age, with unlimited access to anything we want to know more about. The only way to keep up with all the changes this world is going through, is by owning an online business.

Setting up and starting your own home based business is easy however, you need to find a business that you have an affinity with. Something you are passionate about. It is absolutely vital that you find a company or mentor that has already achieved the levels of success that you desire. Seek out an opportunity with a company that provides you with solid training on how to become successful online. You need good solid mentoring, training and coaching on a daily basis. Only through systematic training, you can become successful online. Kiyosaki says in his book that the Network- and Internet Marketing industry is the perfect legitimate place for any entrepreneur to start learning the ins and outs about building a solid, secure and profitable online business. It is all about experience and it is only through experience that you will learn and fully understand marketing and business. You will make mistakes. A true online marketer has studied and learned how to apply and implement marketing methods and strategies effectively. So, again, it is without a doubt very important to join a company with a proven marketing training program that teaches and shows you how to market your business online. The training has to be ongoing by means of webinars, live training sessions etc... . Only this way you are being continuously educated. Just like with anything, knowledge is power.

My Conclusion

I highly recommend that you read 'Rich Dad, Poor Dad'. It contains very wise, powerful information and advice. Putting all of this into practise, you are well on your way to take control of your financial future, especially if you are starting, or already own, a home based business. It is my personal opinion that the Internet Marketing Industry is, by far, the best place to be!
