How to Make Money Online...

Consider avoiding trying to sell to your visitors as soon as they arrive at your site

For every individual curious about how to make money online at least half of them are doing so simply because their current job or business isn't generating sufficient income.

The majority of these individuals have no clue how to do this and when they first start out they fall into the same trap. They believe the so-called guru's who claim that they've made easy millions with a product every individual on the internet simply can't resist.

What do you mean "don't try selling"?

Regardless of which business model you plan on using (digital products,ebook,affiliate products,your own hard goods)to make money online it all boils down to getting people online to find you.

And this is where 8 of 10 will fail. I'm about to share with you something that initially sounds rediculous, however, if you hang in there with me it will change your whole outlook for the better.

The concept I'm proposing is call PREselling.

As I said earlier your first hurdle will be getting people to find you. In preparation for their arrival you'll need this correct midset to convert them into income.

You will need to realize that when they first arrive to your site or blog they are not yet customers, not even potential customers. Let's refer to them as "pre-customers". You will need to PREsell these pre-customers. This is your ONLY chance to truly learn how to make money online. Let me explain.

Understanding the difference between "PREselling and Selling"

So who are these "pre-customers" that I'm talking about? They are the millions of people who surf the internet everyday. They use the web as a search tool. They're searching for believable information that is perceived to have a great deal of value (something that can fulfill a desire, or solve a nagging problem).

Let me stress once again that if you want to learn how to make money online this is a required midset. Online real estate is different from offline real estate. Instead of the focus being "location,location,location"...

it's now "information,information,information".

As I mentioned earlier people search the web for information, not products or a service. These surfers are not looking for you or your business. In the online world potential customers can't just walk by and then enter your site. Online you'll need to generate your own traffic if you expect to learn how to make money online and thrive.

To generate this traffic your first and important task will be to provide the information that people are looking for and you must do this in a way that search engines like. This must be done BEFORE you make your first sale.

Your website should have each page focused on a single keyword or phrase. Content must then be created that is relevant to this keyword. The sum of these pages must support the theme of your site. These focused pages will rank high with the search engines and in turn will attract lots of TARGETED traffic.

This high value content will actually "warm up" or PREsell your visitors by providing them what they came for. As they read your content they begin to like you and trust you. Your rich content creates credibility for you. People never buy anything from someone they don't first like and trust.

If you can get them to like and trust you they will be more open to buy or hire. At this point regardless of which online business model you choose you'll have greater success.

You have just successfully PREsold your visitor.

Now what?

As you continue to learn how to make money online you come to realize this new mindset of PREselling your visitors actually improves your conversion ratio. Your PREsold visitors turn more frequesntly into paying customers which is exactly what your online business needs.

Now contrast this to visitors who arrive at a site that simply says "buy this", "on sale today only", or "buy one and get one free". Unless you already have an awesome brand your chances of selling are practically zero.
