How to Find eBay WholesalersHow to Find eBay Wholesalers By John S. Rhodes Many, if not most, of the successful sellers on eBay are selling on volume. This means they are selling with a relatively small profit margin on each product, but are selling multiple units of those products. If you wish to join these people, then you are going to need to find wholesalers who can supply you with the goods you need to sell on eBay. Wholesalers are the middle men between you and the manufacturer. Firstly, consider what not to do. You have to avoid the temptation of dealing with someone who is not a true wholesaler, but a go between who will take your order, and charge you a large commission before passing the order on to the genuine wholesaler. You need to find genuine wholesalers in order to get the necessary mark up to pay your eBay fees, and still leave something left over for a small profit. With wholesalers it is important to bear in mind that they are very much volume sellers. It is the whole purpose of their business, to supply retailers. Even if they are prepared to sell in small quantities, it will be at a higher price per unit, and therefore cut into your profit margins. Be sure that you can buy enough goods at any one time to justify the transaction, before you even start to try and find wholesalers. As wholesalers don't usually advertise, they are rarely easy to find. You can try using the search engines, but you will most likely be directed to a list of sites that only disclose the addresses of the wholesalers on their site to paying members. Occasionally you can find a useful contact this way, so don't dismiss it out of hand until you've given it a try. This is the key: Manufacturers can usually put you in touch with their wholesalers, after all they want to make sales more than anybody. The problem is locating the manufacturer of a product you wish to sell, even assuming you know what you want to sell. Probably the best source of wholesalers is an offline trade magazine. These magazines exist for the sole purpose of keeping people within the industry informed about the supply of goods. If you can get hold of one of these magazines, you may well find multiple sources for the product that you wish to sell. Again, you have to work back from the manufacturer to the wholesaler. These folks want the sales really bad. Track them down by directly going to the manufacturers. That's the secret! Are you really interested in making money on eBay and online? Here's the answer...
