His Story - in case you're interested

Who is Luis Castillo ?

I was working as a Facilities Management Consultant for a large Management Services company. I was bored with my job, underpaid, overworked and looked forward to clocking out at the end of every day.

At that point I had been working for them for 18 years, just purchased a beautiful house in southern California and things seemed to be looking rosy. That year my career came to a screaching halt. I was abruptly let go and had no prospects for a similar job. I spent the next 5 years working at all sorts of jobs (primarily in sales)I was not very good at,in my opnion, and could not earn enough money to support my wife and five kids.

In 2004 I made the decision to sell our home and move to Georgia to be closer to my wife's brother, and parents (who lived in Florida). I still had no decent prospects for a good job.

However, during our last year in California I had just learned about affiliate marketing as an option to building an internet home business and becoming a website owner. I did not know very much but everything I had read said a lot of people were making a good living at it and it didn't seem very difficult to do. Still I had no idea where to start.

I soon landed a job with a mortgage company (once again, a sales job) and I actually purchased our very first home computer at that time and thus began my journey learning about the internet and making money online as a website owner.

The Learning Begins...

I had no idea the internet was this complicated and held so much potential for the eagar entrepreneur. However, I took the plunge and signed up with Google Adwords and started creating campaigns just like I had learned from this awesome ebook.

That first year I made over $12,000 but still didn't really understand what I was doing (I'm one of those guys that always knows just enough to be dangerous). As a result everything I was earning was being eaten up by my huge advertising expenses to generate targeted traffic.

By the time I figured out how to improve my ROI it was too late. I had spent a whole lot more than I care to admit. Believe it or not, at this point I decided it was time to become a website owner (crazy, huh?).

Well, I did about as well with this as I had with my Adwords campaigns. I had no problem sending tons of traffic to my site because of my experience with PPC advertising but I wasn't getting the kind of conversion I was hoping for.

Would someone please turn on the lights?

The very first resource I read was an ebook called "Make Your Site Sell", (see the link for the free download at the bottom of this page)that's when I first began to understand the concept of C T P M .

Here is my summary of this concept...

Content Web users search for information, for solutions. They are not looking for you - they don't know you (yet!). They seek what you know. You have to give it to them. Convert your knowledge into in-demand Content. To succeed online, start where they start - at "the search."

Traffic Your topical content ranks high at the Search Engines (ex., Google, Yahoo!, MSN), attracting FREE (notice I said FREE), targeted (i.e., interested), open-to-you visitors. Basically, these future customers "meet you" at your site. These visitors are known as "Traffic."

PREsell Complete strangers develop trust and confidence in you. Why? You "PREsell" by OVERdelivering what they seek... relevant, original, information.

However, you need to deliver it in your own voice, in your own way. Go beyond merely instilling confidence... your visitors will like you.

Monetize Convert warm, willing-to-buy ("PREsold") visitors into income. Called "Monetizing," this is the easy part. But "M" cannot happen if you fail to first execute C T P. This is where 99% of small businesses fail. This is where I had failed.

But not anymore...

Almost immediately after building the site you are viewing and submitting my site to the search engines I was geting indexed and within several months I was getting targeted traffic from Google. As each month went by my traffic steadily increased and so did my confidence.

As a result I did not feel it was necessary any longer to use PPC advertising to get the traffic I desperately needed. Not that I wouldn't use it but I know that I don't have to.

I still consider myself a novice in regards to internet marketing. Obviously, I have not yet reached my goal to allow me to pay off my house and set up a nestegg for my retirement just yet but I keep working on it. When I do I'll be sure to let everyone know.

If you're truly serious about creating an internet home business and are willing to put in a couple of hours a day and stick with it you'll find that it doesn't take very long for you to start seeing results.

This is not a "get rich quick" system. This a business building blueprint for serious people. It isn't difficult to learn, in case you're wondering, but it takes diligence.
